This is my first in-flight post. It’s also my first with my new mini keyboard. My seat on the plane is fab though, I have so much leg room, its like lying on a sun chair! It could have been better if the guy in front of me, to the left, kept his legs to himself!
I’m off to Germany again for work. I love coming here because Germany has great cheesecake! My mother makes great cheesecake as well, and the German equivalent is similar. So, every time I come here, I try to make sure I have at least one slice.
I’ll be here for a week. First a few days in Frankfurt, and then a few in Stuttgart for more work duties. Both great cities. Stuttgart is great because that’s where all the cool cars come from. Two anyway: Mercedes-Benz and Porsche. Both have their own museum and both are worth visiting! If I have time, I’ll try to make it out this time around as well. Still, the cheesecake is why I’m here.
I’ve got some fun projects popping up this autumn as well, work-related but nothing to do with work… When the time comes, I’ll write about it here. It has to do with music, that’s about as much as I’ll say right now! Which also reminds me, I’ve finally got a place to practice drums: Drumming community, watch out, Backstreet’s back. Sorry, I couldn’t resist that one either. I’ll be back, obviously. Oh yeah, a new Terminator movie is being shot as we speak. That will be fun I hope. And guess what, Arnie is back, but not as a robot! Old, but not obsolete, as it were.
Okay, I’ve been up in the air for about an hour and a half now. We’ve had coffee. My neighbours are irritating the heck out of me. I had two cups, with milk. The only way to drink it. If you’ve followed my blog since the beginning, you’ll know that’s how I drink it. The flight’s been okay, but the start was shaky though, a bit of turbulence. Since I had my nightmare fight from Mexico City, I’ve been nervous ever since. We’ll be touching down in about 30 minutes I think, and then I’ll be making my way to Frankfurt to locate my accommodation. This post probably won’t be up until I’ve landed though, and that’s only my problem because when you read this it will be done! Autumn is always packed with projects, and this one is no exception: fun writing work is coming my way and, as I mentioned, music is making it’s way back to me too.
Another project for this autumn is me getting glasses. I used to have perfect vision, it’s slowly gotten worse over the years, so now it’s about time to get some. I think glasses are super cool, even though I’ll be part of the Fantastic Four-eyes. On the positive side, I’ll be able to see what’s going on! Okay, now the flight crew made the landing announcement.
It’s 21.45 and I’m at my hostel and about ready for bed. I had some food with a fly in it, a slice of German cheesecake, and a cup of tea with dust in it. Not a great first evening, but it’ll do! And as we say in Sweden, ”A little crap rinses the stomach!” I’m so tired now so I’d better hit the sack!
